Program Inclusions:

  • A basic sweat test - this will give us insight into how much water you’re losing during a standard run to ensure proper hydration and sodium intake amounts.
  • Hydration and sodium needs specified to your individuality.
  • How to fuel for your runs. Short, mid and long distance -including pre, intra and post fuelling to maintain optimal performance and recovery.
  • Gut training, finding your “perfect” fuel and how/when and why to use them at certain points in your race.
  • Incorporating real foods, convenience run fuel and liquid nutrition. Assisting in recipe creation and keeping a healthy balance of macros.
  • Macro “counting”: settling on a sustainable amount of calories and macros that your body will be happy with. Macros are made up of protein, fats and most importantly carbohydrates.
  • Meal planning and grocery shopping specified to fuelling for longer distance events and heavy training weeks/rest days.
  • How to carry fuel in your pack on race day and utilize aid station food.
  • Race week meal plan focusing on “Carbohydrate Loading” 2-3 days before race day.
  • Printable race day fuel plan in a shared document.
  • Post-race week recovery meal plan to ensure proper muscle recovery and hydration from GI distress.
  • Supplemental recommendations based on diet needs, deficiencies or blood work/doctor's requisites.
  • Additional help with sleep hygiene, creating a healthy mindset around racing and managing your time with the demands of training for a long-distance event.
  • Ability to work with food preferences such as vegan or vegetarianism. Alongside working with allergies or intolerances that may include but are not limited to gluten, dairy and nuts.
