WHERE?
Lillian Lake, is located in Spray Valley Provincial Park Alberta, which touches Banff National Park. It is a spectacular location for sparkling glacier lakes, large mountain peaks and rugged nature.
While we set out for some amazing day hikes, we are going to experience some of the most incredible views, forests and nature that Kananaskis has to offer! You will be staying at the Lillian Lake Backcountry Campground and learning from Coach Keri! We come together to experience this adventure in a supportive, safe and celebratory environment.
***Note location is dependant on trail conditions and potential unexpected park closures.
WHAT?
A fun and inspiring hiking experience that is going to bring us closer to nature and ourselves!
This experience includes three hiking days ranging from 7kms to 15kms with approx 600m of elevation gain, coach talks with Keri Bowzaylo (your leader), pre trip knowledge session, some meals, your backcountry permits, connections and female empowerment through and through!
Our experience has been designed to welcome you, challenge you and celebrate you in many different ways! We will be physically and mentally challenged as we head out to hike for multiple days, see sunrises and enjoy the beauty of mountains. Most importantly we are empowering each other, celebrating us and HAVING FUN!
We will be talking and educating about our trail gear, trail and mountain safety, adventure planning tools and how to have a successful adventure with coach and leader Keri Bowzaylo.

- This trip runs on a minimum of 6 participants

WHO?
For our hiking community! This experience is for women who have done backpack hiking previously and are looking to expand their knowledge and experience. Needed: The ability to carry 40ish pounds for the 7km hike into Lillian Lake. The ability to hike 3+ hours with some technical terrain.
This is a female identifying only trip.

YOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1 - ARRIVAL & HIKE IN
- Today we will meet at the trail head at 12:00pm to begin our hike to Lillian Lake.
- We will have a welcoming group meet and greet at 12:00pm
- Our hike is is about 7km with 500m of elevation gain.
- Lots of time for tent set up and possible evening hike.
- Dinner is enjoyed within your preference and we enjoy a restful evening as we get set for the next days explorations.
Accommodation: Tent camping.
Meals Included: 1 lunch, 1 dehydrated dinner meal from Wild Mountain Eats.
DAY 2 - HIKE DAY
- Today we wake with sounds of nature around us.
- We will spend the day exploring, hiking. Approx 12-15kms with approx 600m of gain.
- Lunch will be enjoyed on the trail today as we break for some spectacular views!
- Our evening will be enjoyed back at Lillian Lake.
- Dinner is enjoyed within your preference
Accommodation: Tent camping.
Meals Included: 1 Dehydrated dinner meal from Wild Mountain Eats.
DAY 3 - HIKE OUT & SUNRISE
- Our final morning kicks off nice and early for a sunrise hike!
- Once we reach the top of our trail, we will meet for a group photo and enjoy the spectacular sunrise, have time to reflect. You will have your choice of celebrating with champagne or juice!
- Back at the tents, everyone packs up and we head for our 7km hike back to the trail head.
Accommodation: Pack up tent.

- Your flight/transportation to experience location.
- Accommodations beyond August 16 -18 nights.
- Bringing your own additional snack foods.
- 2 Breakfasts, 2 Lunches
- Bring your own sleeping pad, sleeping bag & hiking backpack and all day hiking gear.
- Spending money for souvenirs etc.
- Gear that you may need to buy to bring for the trip (a backpack, trail shoes etc.)
- A Conservation pass is required to park at provincial parks and public use lands in the Kananaskis Country and Bow Valley region. There are two options for purchasing a pass; daily pass and yearly pass. Only one pass per vehicle is required regardless of the number of passengers. If you are entering on foot, horse, or bike there is no fee. Run Like A Girl Adventures Inc requires travel insurance for all of our trip participants. World Nomads Travel Insurance is for independent travelers and intrepid families. You'd rather not think about all of the things that might go wrong on your trip, but these things can and do happen.
World Nomads travel insurance has been designed by travelers for travelers, to cover your trip essentials. Even if you run out of travel insurance or leave without it, World Nomads can cover you.
PAYMENTS & POLICIES
PAYMENTS & POLICIES
Your deposit is non-refundable (in all circumstances)
Your deposit is due upon registration. The remaining balance will be charged automatically 60 days after the date of the deposit. If you have not paid the remaining balance before 60 days of the trip start date then you are considered not coming and loose your spot on the trip. There are no refunds for any flights, activities, transportation or accommodations that have been booked holding your spot. If you have to cancel your trip for any reason there are no refunds available. All permits booked are non refundable and non transferable as they are sold on an individual basis to your passport number. If you need to cancel your within 60 days of the trip date and have not paid the final trip payment you are responsible for paying the remaining amount owed for the trip.
- All activities listed in the itinerary are subject to change due to weather and natural occurrences, however if one activity is removed another will be in its place.
- In extreme situations the trip is subject to cancelation due to weather and natural occurrences, this falls under an "act of god" and you are able to roll over your trip deposit to another trip within one calendar year.
