WHERE?
Our adventure starts and finishes in Reykjavík which sits on the coast of Iceland. Reykjavík is the country's capital and largest city. We will be exploring Iceland via the Golden Circle, Ring Road Tour - the trip around the Island. This route connects all of the amazing sites that Iceland has to share.
While in Iceland we will be exploring on our feet while hiking to magical locations through breathtaking mountains, whale watching, learning about and from local farms, soaking in the natural lagoons, glacier hiking, sea kayaking, seeing incredible landscapes, eating amazing food and getting our raincoats wet from the waterfalls! We hope to see whales, puffins, seals and more!
Some of our main stops include: Þórsmörk, Seljalandasfoss, Sólheimajökull, Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon, Stokksnes, Borgarfjörður Eystri, Eastfjörds, Stuðlagil Canyon, Dettifoss, Mývatn Area, Goðafoss, Dalvík Village, Troll Peninsula, Snæfellsnes Peninsula, Game Of Thrones location Kirkjufell Mountain, Djúpalónssandur Beach, Arnarstapi Sea Cliffs and Ytri Tunga.
WHAT?
Our adventure is all about experiencing the unique landscapes of Iceland. We have created a 10 day multi adventure touring the entire country. From relaxing in some of the natural hot spring lagoons to hiking on glaciers and mountains, group yoga to whale watching... we are going to be exploring! Seeing the magnificent wildlife on land and in the ocean! From the top of the mountains to the ocean whale watching. Our adventure includes hiking, glacier hiking, group stretching and yoga, sea kayaking, lagoon hot spring soaking, learning about the wildlife, culture, and history, visiting a local farm!
- We believe that travel is a personal experience that impacts ourselves as well as those who live in the places we travel to. We are dedicated to volunteering and giving back to the locals and local organizations that we visit during our adventure. During this adventure we will be visiting a local women owned and run farm to learn about local agriculture.

WHO?
For adventurous female identifying people who are looking to get away from the craziness of everyday life, challenge yourself to try new things in one of the most beautiful places we have ever been. Step outside your comfort zone, experience personal growth and a new culture. We are recommending some hiking experience to get the most out of this adventure as we do have multiple days of hiking.

DAY 0 - Arrivals Begin
- Welcome to Iceland!
- Upon your arrival to the airport we recommend taking a city bus to the hotel for the night in Reykjavik.
- Tonight we will be staying at the Fosshotel Rauðará Hotel.
- Around 6:00pm we will have a group meet and greet with our fearless leaders.
- (Group hotel - Fosshotel Rauðará Hotel)

DAY 1 - Golden Circle/Volcano Huts
- This morning we depart Reykjavík.
- First stop is a visit to the Golden Circle.
- We will enjoy lunch and a introduction from one of the employees at Friðheimar greenhouse.
- Visitors gain an insight into the processes of greenhouse horticulture. Visitors enjoy the special experience of entering a greenhouse with its fragrance of tomato plants and then sitting down to a feast of the famous Friðheimar tomato soup with fresh-baked bread with tomato plants all around!
- Following lunch we head from Hella Town to Þórsmörk, Volcano Huts.
- We will settle into our rooms here and enjoy dinner at the restaurant.
- We have two nights to enjoy here.

DAY 2 - Circle of Tindfjöll Hike
- Today is our first hiking day!
- We will be hiking: Tindfjallahringur, or the circle of Tindfjöll.
- Our hike today is about 12kms with 400meters of elevation gain. We plan to be on foot for about 6 hours.
- Tindfjallahringur is a magnificent hiking trail with a unique view of Goðaland, the glaciers and the inner part of Þórsmörk.
- This hike offers some postcard-worthy views. While it does have some steeper sections, technical parts, and narrow paths, the scenery is so good you’ll hardly notice, and the vistas you’ll experience make every bit of effort worthwhile.
- We will enjoy packed lunches provided from the Volcano Huts Restaurant while on our hike.
- We will have the rest of the day to relax, unwind, visit and enjoy dinner.

DAY 3 - Hike Valahnúkur Mountain/Seljalandsfoss Waterfall
- Today we start with a hike before we pack up our bags and depart for our next adventure.
- We will have a short but wonderful 3km circle hike up to Valahnúkur Mountain.
- This hike offers spectacular views over the surrounding glaciers, mountains, valleys and rivers.
- Here the eyes can roam free through the vast landscape, where the light and the fast-changing weather often offer unique conditions for landscape photography.
- Elevation: 250 meters (820 feet)
- Distance: 3 km (1.8 miles)
- Duration: 3 hours
- Following our hike we take our shuttle bus back to Hella Town to switch buses.
- Before reaching our days final destination we will be visiting the famous Seljalandsfoss waterfall.
- Seljalandsfoss is a beautiful waterfall along the southern coast. The waterfall drops 60 m (197 ft) as it cascades over steep cliffs, which makes it possible for you to walk behind the waterfall. You will get a spectacular view of the waterfall itself and the surroundings. (Make sure you don’t forget your camera, but be advised, it might get wet.)
- Following we arrive at our accommodations for the evening. Once settled in there is an optional short walk in the evening to the Skógafoss waterfall, which we highly recommend.
- The Skógafoss waterfall stands at 60 metres (197 ft) tall, the heavy veil of water is impressive, and walking close enough envelops visitors in a cloud of spray, sound and refracted light.

DAY 4 - Glacier Hike Sólheimajökull/Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon
- Today we begin with a hearty breakfast, we have a full day of adventure ahead of us.
- Our first activity is a glacier hike on Sólheimajökull, which will be around 2 hours.
- Up next is a visit to one of Iceland's Black Sand Beaches. They are iconic volcanic landscapes, where sparkling black sand slips away to the sea and basalt rock formations twist and turn along the beach.
- Our days final activity is visiting the Fjaðrárgljúfur canyon. The magnificent canyon is 100 meters (328 feet) deep and two kilometers (1.24 miles) long. What makes it so special are its sheer, turning, and twisting walls, full of oddly-shaped salients and bumps dotted with soft grass and patches of moss.
- We will be resting and staying the night in a hotel located in the South of Iceland.

DAY 5 - Múlagljúfur Canyon/Glacier Lagoon
- After breakfast we will head for our first stop and hike at the stunning Múlagljúfur Canyon.
- This is the newest hotspot!
- It includes an easy 6km out and back hike with 250meters of elevation gain.
- Following we visit and explore the Glacier Lagoon and the Diamond Beach.
- Our evening will conclude at our hotel nearby Höfn in the southeast.
- Höfn is the lobster capital of Iceland.

DAY 6 - Stokksnes/Hengifoss Waterfall/Borgarfjörður Eystri
- Breakfast first thing and off we go to visit Stokksnes, the Viking Village.
- The Viking village in Stokksnes is actually an abandoned film set! However, even though these are not real buildings from the Viking era, their authenticity along with the mystical surroundings gives you the feeling of traveling through time.
- Then we drive through the beautiful Eastfjords of Iceland.
- This is a 120 kilometre (75 miles) stretch of coastline from Berufjörður, in the south, to the small fishing village of Borgarfjörður Eystri in the north.
- Next stop the Hengifoss waterfall. It is a beautiful waterfall, around 128 meters tall, making it the 2nd highest waterfall in Iceland.
- Our hike is a 5km loop with 400meters of evelvation. Taking 2-3 hours total.
- We are spending the night in the puffin town of Borgarfjörður Eystri.
- In the evening we will drive to the harbour where the puffins live and get real close to those adorable birds.

DAY 7 - Stuðlagil Canyon/Dettifoss/Goðafoss
- We hope you are ready for this busy day!
- First stop is Stuðlagil Canyon.
- Stuðlagil Canyon was created when the force of a river so powerful forced its way from the Highlands to the North of the island.
- Next up is a visit to Dettifoss, the most powerful waterfall in Europe!
- We will then be exploring the Mývatn area. This is a shallow lake situated in an area of active volcanism in the north of Iceland, not far from Krafla volcano. It has a high amount of biological activity.
- Our final visit for the day will be Goðafoss waterfall, the fourth-largest river in Iceland.
- It is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the country, falling from a height of 12 meters (39 feet) over a width of 30 meters (98 feet).
- Our hotel for the night will be in the northern city of Akureyri.

DAY 8 - Whale Watching/Troll Peninsula
- Is there a better way to start the day then with whale watching?! After breakfast of course.
- Our whale watching will take place in Dalvík Village.
- Our whale watching tour will be about 3hours.
- Then we will spend the rest of our day driving the Troll Peninsula.
- We will visit many beautiful villages and stop for gorgeous views on the way to our hotel for the night.
- Get ready for many photo stops!

DAY 9 - Snæfellsnes Peninsula/Kirkjufell Mountain/Djúpalónssandur Beach
- Our final full day exploring and why not enjoy it from the water!
- Enjoying breakfast at our hotel before we head off for our Sea Kayaking Tour!
- We are going to get the best view possible of Kirkjufell, Europe’s most photographed mountain, while on the water.
- On this 2-hour guided tour we will paddle along the beautiful Icelandic coastline and have the chance to view this magnificent mountain from all angles.
- Along the way there are stops at various scenic locations where we can take photos, meet some curious seals or just enjoy the beautiful view.
- Water is calming and brings us full circle in our perspectives.
- Our final night hotel is in Reykjavík.
- We gather for one final group dinner in town to celebrate our experiences!

DAY 10 - Free Day/Flying Home
- You will have free time in Reykjavík in the morning and then we will drop you off at the airport, for those who are leaving on this day.
- Checking out of the hotel.

Accommodations: Checking out of hotel. (no more nights are included).

Run Like A Girl Adventures Inc requires travel insurance for all of our trip participants. World Nomads Travel Insurance is for independent travelers and intrepid families. You'd rather not think about all of the things that might go wrong on your trip, but these things can and do happen.
World Nomads travel insurance has been designed by travelers for travelers, to cover your trip essentials. Even if you run out of travel insurance or leave without it, World Nomads can cover you.

Your deposit is non-refundable (in all circumstances)
Once your registration form is submitted, an invoice for your trip deposit and remaining amount will be emailed to you. (This may take a few days to receive). You are able to make partial payments on the remaining balance. The remaining balance needs to be paid before 60 days from the trip start date. If you have not paid the remaining balance before 60 days of the trip start date then you are considered not coming and loose your spot on the trip. There are no refunds for any flights, activities, transportation or accommodations that have been booked holding your spot. If you have to cancel your trip for any reason there are no refunds available. All permits booked are non refundable and non transferable as they are sold on an individual basis to your passport number. If you need to cancel your within 60 days of the trip date and have not paid the final trip payment you are responsible for paying the remaining amount owed for the trip.
- All activities listed in the itinerary are subject to change due to weather and natural occurrences, however if one activity is removed another will be in its place.
- In extreme situations the trip is subject to cancelation due to weather and natural occurrences, this falls under an "act of god" and you are able to roll over your trip deposit to another trip within one calendar year.
